NSW: Men found alive after NSW light plane crash

Two men who went missing after their light plane crashed in rugged NSW terrain have
been found alive.

A truck driver received a distress call from the pilot of a light plane on his UHF
radio yesterday afternoon.

The crew of a NRMA CareFlight helicopter spotted the two men this morning beside their
upturned single engine Cessna .. on the side of a steep ravine in The Great Dividing Range
near Merriwa in the Upper Hunter.

The 38-year-old pilot and his 32-year-old passenger had left Mudgee on a 380km flight
to Glen Innes.

It's not known what injuries the men have sustained.
