NSW:Investigation a "quite vicious attack" on radio star - court

A court's been told a Seven Network current affairs report into rorts in the music
industry .. made a vicious attack on radio host KYLE SANDILANDS' reputation.

The co-host of the morning breakfast show on Sydney's 2Day FM .. who was also a judge
on last year's Australian Idol .. is suing Seven for defamation in the Supreme Court of
New South Wales.

It relates to ads aired on July 29 .. 30 and 31 last year .. promoting a segment on
Today Tonight.

It also relates to the show's investigation into the manipulation of Australia's billion
dollar music industry that screened on August 1.

The lawyer representing SANDILANDS says the segment was dressed up to be a special
investigation into the industry .. but was actually an attack on the DJ's reputation.

The hearing continues.
